well i believe in some small way i am progressing as an artist slowly and painfully. i picked up the book drawing with the right side of the brain and it is helping much and the fact i used to be ok at it may be something good will come of it lol. and it's taking longer because i can't focus on one thing i must try everything

well, just relax and let the ideas coming. sometimes, when u'r focusing a lot it's a misted view of the vision. or start drawing miscelated stuf and follow a shape :D

I understand your feelings. Drawing on the right side of the brain helped me progress greatly. there are two other books by Betty Edwards that might help. one is called Drawing on the Artist Within and the other is called Mastering the Art of Mixing Colors. she is a good writer and makes it easy to understand. I wish you much luck in your progress
